Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to every purchase from Burn Mood Candles through burnmood.com. By placing an order you agree to them.
1. About us
The shop is operated by Burn Mood Candles, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contact: burnmood@burnmood.com.
2. Products
We describe and photograph our candles as accurately as we can. Because every candle is poured by hand, small differences in colour, surface finish and wax texture are normal and are not defects. Burn times are approximate and depend on following the care instructions.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Any applicable taxes and the shipping cost are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price you pay is the one shown when you place your order. Payment is taken when the order is placed. If a price is shown in error, we will contact you before shipping and you may cancel for a full refund.
4. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send the email confirming that your order has shipped. We may refuse or cancel an order (for example if an item is unavailable, a payment cannot be verified, or we suspect fraud); if we do, any payment is refunded in full.
5. Shipping, returns and refunds
Shipping areas, costs and times, and our returns and refunds policy, are set out on the Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.
6. Using our candles safely
Candles are an open flame. Always follow the instructions on the label and on our Candle Care page: never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable, burn on a heat-safe surface, and stop when about 1 cm of wax remains. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by using a candle other than as instructed.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Ontario consumer protection legislation or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Subject to those rights, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Content
All text, photographs, logos and designs on this site belong to Burn Mood Candles and may not be copied for commercial use without our written permission.
9. Accounts and reviews
You are responsible for keeping your account password private. If you post a review, it must be honest and about your own experience; we may remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic or not genuine.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
